Vic Chatterton immigrated to Sydney from Johannesburg with his lovely wife and daughters in December 2003.
They loved Sydney when they arrived: the stability, lifestyle, friendly people "no worries mate!", the lack of crime.
But they struggled to settle.
Everything was so "different" and it was hard to find all the information they needed to help them start over.
A few years later when friends in South Africa contacted Vic for information about settling in Australia, he started to put some information together for them.
He then realised that there must be thousands of people in South Africa who need information that they can't get from an Immigration Agent.
Vic decided to compile an information booklet, based on a great deal of research and his own and his family's experiences.
